There are three hotels that we are recommending and where we have some reserved rooms for the three nights 16th, 17th, 18th July. We are not taking bookings or payments ourselves. Participants need to arrange the kind of rooms they wish (single, double etc) and length of stay, breakfast etc directly with the hotel concerned.
When making bookings please mention you are attending the ‘Bolzano in Prague’ meeting so as to ensure you are given one of the reserved rooms. It is probably best to arrange a booking by email to the address given on webpages.
There are two, quite different, kinds of rooms here, described on the webpage. It is the venue of the meeting so you are ‘on the spot’. We get a 10% reduction in the cost of rooms as it is an Academy event. Nice terrace and garden. Rooms in the main house are large, 19C, but have shared, nearby, bathrooms; rooms in nearby ‘lodges’ (with en suite facilities) are smaller, but modern and well-fitted.
Five minute walk from Villa Lanna, but at lower altitude, so involves negotiating 30 stone steps. Has slightly better facilities than Villa Lanna and a nearby (very old)-fashioned pub. Also 19C.
This is approximately 2 ½ km from Villa Lanna but there is a good bus service covering most of the distance. And the rates are approximately half the rates of the other two. Breakfast is only provided to ‘a group’ – so do not expect it.
Rooms at the above hotels reserved for the ‘Bolzano in Prague’ meeting will be held only until the end of May on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis.
Several other (mostly cheaper) hostels or hotels may be found at http://www.studenthostel.cz/home.php
Among which we especially mention Hostels Bubenec, Orlik and Dejvicka as being convenient for Villa Lanna but breakfast is not provided. Rooms have not been reserved at these hostels.
